I’m a generalist HR Manager with over 18 years’ experience in HR. I started out at officer level and have worked my way up into manager and business partner roles during my career.
My roles have been to support general business activities like restructuring, training, writing of policies, and managing employee relations. This year I’ve also been involved in managing furlough and lots of internal comms with employees around what’s going on, and updating people on the changes and what that means for them.
I’m the HR Manager for Lucion Services, running the HR function for nearly 400 people around the UK, covering all aspects of HR.
Lucion Services is a multi-location business specialising in risk management for various sectors. The majority of workforce are out on site so don’t work in an office. Part of my role involves ensuring we stay in communication with our team members who are out on the road, and making sure we manage to reach everyone, support them, and keep them feeling included in the business whilst they’re not in the office.
Sarah kept in regular contact with me and was very proactive. We discussed a number of interesting roles and Sarah was very open and honest about each role and my suitability and fit or each business. She made sure that I had no false expectations and always gave honest feedback and advice when I needed it.
This meant that Sarah only put me forward for roles that were suited to me, and was very transparent about that throughout the whole process which I really appreciated. She made it much more enjoyable looking for a new role as she kept me as informed as possible the whole time which took a lot of the stress out it.
Sarah’s level of professionalism was great. She understands the recruitment process from both a client and a candidate’s perspective, and knows the right level of information to give to each party to make it go smoothly for everyone involved.
I knew exactly where I stood when I went into interview because Sarah gave me as much information as she could beforehand. We went through the business and the role in detail to help me prepare.
The interviews were very well organised. Sarah liaised with Lucian to organise each one. The first one was a video call and then the second stage interview was in person as it was during the time when lockdown restrictions had been lifted.
Again, Sarah kept me informed of what I needed to know in terms of logistics and what to expect which was massively helpful.
